Chef Honey wore her first Chef’s uniform when she studied Diploma in Culinary arts in Magsaysay Institute of Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA). After graduating, she worked as OJT in the Pastry Department of RWM. Using the knowledge that she learned and applying it in the real kitchen world, she was eventually absorbed and worked full time as a cook at the Properity Restaurant.
Through mentoring and working with the Best Chefs like RW Culinary Director and HRCAP Director Chef Dennis Peralta, Executive Sous Chef Alwin Mantuano and more, she stepped up from cook to Commis 1. She also joined Culinary Competitions like National Food Showdown and Philippine Culinary Cup where Chef Honey and RWM Culinary team won landslide awards and Presidential Cups.
She kept on learning not just with kitchen operations and preparations but also with computer and paperworks. She was assigned in scheduling, ordering, menu costing, menu planning, hygene & sanitations and etc. Because of her dedication and passion in her career and by the Grace of God, she was promoted as Chef de Partie in Banquet Operations.
They handled numerous events and catering a huge number of people.
FHL Empanada to Dingras Food House
She continued working professionally until such time that we decided to have a baby. She hanged her apron on year 2019. But her passion for cooking never stops. While she was pregnant, she wore her apron again at home and founded the FHL Empanada. Her “paglilihi” for some savory Empanada pushed her to make her own. (Sorry for that, I was still onboard by that time ). Now, that empanada evolved into 6 different Bestselling flavors.
With her full-packed experience, Chef Honey is now the Co-Owner and Sous Chef of Dingras Food House.
